Illinois will split up its squad, with the top seven runners heading to Madison, Wis., for the Wisconsin adidas Invitational and another group of four competing at the Bradley Classic. Both meets take place on Friday, Oct. 12.

As the collegiate cross country season gets in to full swing, the Illini look to have a successful start to their season under the leadership of their upperclassmen, one being Jordan Hebert.

The Fighting Illini men's cross country team placed 14th at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday as senior Hunter Mickow led the team in his season opener.

The Fighting Illini are back in action this weekend as they travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Sept. 28.

The Fighting Illini men's cross country team finished second at the Illinois Intercollegiate on Friday with a total of 72 points.

The men's cross country team will compete at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships in Normal, Ill., hosted by Illinois State University.
